City 20

Survive in a living post-apocalyptic city.
Every choice you make shapes the world.

A secret nuclear city. Quarantined after a radioactive leak, then left to starve. Survive in a parametric living world where every NPC has a life, every faction has a motive, and every decision you make leaves a mark — on you, and on the city around you.

How the city works

A World That Lives
Without You

Living NPCs

Every inhabitant of City 20 has their own needs, schedule, and memory of what you've done. Build trust — or burn bridges. The city's people don't forget.

Factions & Power

Rival factions fight for control of scarce resources. Align with one, betray another, or play them against each other. The balance of power shifts with every move you make.

Emergent Stories

No two playthroughs are the same. The city's parametric systems generate unique events, relationships, and consequences from your choices — no scripted outcomes.

Farm, Craft, Survive

Grow food, forge tools, and barter your way through the city's harsh economy. Resource scarcity isn't a mechanic — it's the condition of life in City 20.

Open World

Explore diverse biomes, underground bunkers, and hidden city districts. Every corner holds something — a secret, a danger, or a way to survive another day.

Always Evolving

Seasons change, the story expands, and the city grows with every update. City 20 is in active development on its road to 1.0 — you're shaping it as it grows.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Can I play City 20 right now?
Yes — City 20 is available now in Early Access on Steam and Epic Games Store. It's a fully playable sandbox with a complete map across multiple biomes, two rival factions, and core mechanics including survival, crafting, and the NPC behavior system. Early Access lets us release a solid, enjoyable game while continuing to expand it based on community feedback.
How long will Early Access last?
We've been in Early Access for over a year and a half, releasing major updates throughout. We estimate approximately one more year of active development to fully realize our vision and reach version 1.0.
What will change in version 1.0?
The full release will build on Early Access with expanded game mechanics and systems, a completed narrative arc, additional content, and refined balance throughout. We're constantly working on making the world richer and the experience more complete.
Will the price go up?
Yes — the price will increase when Early Access ends. There may also be minor gradual increases during Early Access when significant new features are released. Buying now means the best price, and you'll have access to every update along the way to 1.0.
How can I give feedback or get involved?
Community feedback is central to how we develop City 20. You can share suggestions on the Steam discussion boards or the dedicated channel on our Discord server. We also run periodic closed playtesting sessions with community members and regularly share progress through devlogs and community updates.
Why Early Access instead of a full release?
The game world we have in mind is rich and intricate, and the very nature of the project involves continuously adding content to make the experience more complete. Early Access lets us gather meaningful feedback from the community to further improve City 20 — and to make it an even more satisfying experience at launch.
